Kantha

A traditional fabric from India and Bangladesh, kantha is distinguished by a running embroidery stitch in each length of fabric to bind together and recycle old pieces of fabric into new lengths for crafting quilts and garments. 

In our collection, you’ll find both handmade and contemporary machine-made kantha, allowing the fabric to be produced in longer lengths for modern dress-making. Known for its artisan quality, kantha is perfect for crafting individual clothing, quilted jackets, cosy throws, and accessories.
